Honestly, joking or not it is terrible form to tweet or Facebook post about an interview. It is called a "confidential job search" for a reason! And posting "I had a job interview yesterday and I think that they're going to hire me." is as presumptuously inappropriate as posting "I went on a great date yesterday. I'm pretty sure she wants to get me naked ASAP." Whether it's the Hiring Manager or the "date" reading that, chances are you're not getting to 2nd base with either.

I agree. I wouldn't be able to work for an employer without a sense of humor. The problem is, if you are looking and in desperate need of a job (like most new grads are), even the little things can hurt you if taken in the wrong context. Why make it easy for an employer to discount you (even if you were joking)?

The point I'm trying to make is that you have to be aware of what you are posting online. It really can come back to haunt you.

This article is ridiculous. Obviously some (if not all) of these tweets are a JOKE. If my employers don't have a sense of humor, no way am I working for them anyway. Ugh. GET A SENSE OF HUMOR.
