Job hunting is often a numbers game. The more jobs you apply to, the better your chances are of landing an interview.

However, this doesn’t mean you should apply to every job you see. Only apply to jobs that you believe are a decent fit for your education, experience or personality. If you apply to jobs that don’t fit into one of these categories, employers will be able to see right through your application and you will have wasted your time.

Be selective in your applications in order to increase your success rate.
