This is very good advice. In 1992, after the company I worked for in Kentucky shut down, I finally got an offer from a company in the same industry in Tennessee. Unfortunately, I was fired after about four months and found myself unable to afford to move back home. In early 1993, I was offered a position in customer service at a company in Miami at a salary less than what I was previously earning. I found that apartment rents were sustantially higher in Miami along with many other things, so I rejected the offer. Although I struggled thoughout that year to find a job, my gut feeling told me my situation would have been worse if I had taken that job in Miami.
